This awesome icy scene was captured as the late afternoon sun pierced through the coulds. This was photographed during February 2014, one of the best years for ice formations on the Great Lakes. Located on the shore of Lake Michigan on the Leelanau Peninsula of Michigan near Traverse City.
About Steve L'Italien
Hello, I'm a Michigan based photographer, originally from Arizona. I have lived in Michigan for the last 23 years. Most of my images will be from the Midwest area, but from time to time will include images from Ontario, the Southwest, and wherever else I may roam on occasion. I love hiking, camping and being out in nature and try to relay that wonderful feeling in my images. But sometimes I don't mind spending time in the city. I mainly like to shoot photos of landscape, nature, and architecture (old, new, barns, and abandoned buildings).
